Kelm Electric in Galveston, TX

Serving Galveston

Galveston Island faces the Gulf on one side and Galveston Bay on the other. Its housing ranges from historic homes to raised beach houses, and salt air and storm exposure shape how every system should be built.

Kelm Electric provides residential electrical work for homeowners in Galveston. We’re a local, family-run part of Kelm Home Services, based in Santa Fe, and the licenses behind the work are held by owner Clint Kelm: TECL #21849, TMEL #510665.

What to know about Galveston homes

• Island homes face the most corrosion and storm exposure, so panels, outdoor wiring and fixtures need extra attention.
• Salt air can corrode panels, outdoor outlets and fixtures faster than inland. Outdoor equipment suited to the location lasts longer.
• If water has reached outlets, panels or equipment, it should be inspected before it’s used again. We help homeowners here assess storm and flood damage.
• Many established homes here have panels and wiring that predate today’s loads, making panel upgrades and wiring evaluations common requests.
• Raised homes need careful routing and protection for wiring and equipment below the living level.
