Generator hookups and transfer switches
Safe generator connections and transfer switches, coordinated with Kelm Power Systems for full standby installs, service and monitoring.
Generator hookups and transfer switches: an overview
Connecting a generator to a home is electrical work with real safety stakes. Without a proper transfer switch, generator power can feed back into utility lines, endangering line workers and damaging equipment. A correct installation keeps utility and generator power separate and lets you power the circuits you need.
Kelm Electric installs transfer switches and generator connections under TECL #21849. For home standby generators, we work hand in hand with Kelm Power Systems, our sister company and a certified Generac and Kohler dealer, which handles the generator itself, its maintenance and remote monitoring.
The photos on this page are from Kelm’s own generator jobs, including transfer switch installations.
