Lighting installation
Interior, exterior and landscape lighting, plus fixtures and ceiling fans, installed cleanly and safely.
Lighting installation: an overview
Good lighting makes a home more comfortable, safer and easier to live in. Whether you want recessed lights in a dark living room, a new fixture over the dining table, ceiling fans for the Texas heat or lighting that helps you see the driveway at night, the work should look clean and be wired correctly.
We help plan placement and switching, install fixtures and fans on properly supported boxes, and add new circuits when the existing ones can’t handle the load. For outdoor lighting, we use equipment rated for the location and protect connections from moisture, which matters near the coast.
All lighting work is done by Kelm Electric under TECL #21849, with permits where required.

Lighting FAQ
Common questions about this service.
Can I hang a ceiling fan where a light is now?
Often, yes, but the box must be rated for fan support. We check and replace it if needed.
Will recessed lights work in my ceiling?
Usually. We check framing, insulation and attic access to choose the right fixtures.
Do you install fixtures I buy?
Yes, as long as they’re suitable for the location. We’ll confirm before we install.
Is outdoor lighting affected by salt air?
Coastal exposure can corrode fixtures and connections faster. Choosing suitable equipment helps.
